Hiding In Plain Sight by Tia Ryans

This compelling audio journey delves into the experiences of six individuals on their path of reentry, offering a rare glimpse into lives often overlooked. Through their stories, we explore the challenges, triumphs, and ongoing journeys of those who have returned from incarceration. Guiding us through these powerful narratives is Tia Ryans, Founding Executive Director of NJ F.O.R.T.E House. Tia brings her expertise, profound empathy, and understanding to the series, enriching each episode with her insights.


Recovered^2 Episode One by Tati Smith

Recovered ^2 is a limited series with the Newark News & Story Collaborative. The podcast will be hosted by Tati and focus on Newark Public Schools as the backdrop with [re]covery as the theme. Tati will lead candid conversations with diverse professionals in education and families closely impacted by past and current challenges within the Newark Public School system.  Through this initiative, we seek to [re]scue , [re]ach, re]gain, and [re]claim the narrative of Newark Public Schools for the advancement of our generations to come.


A Tale of Two Cities by Kira Jones

Newark Stories alum Kira explores the stories of four Black women (Salema Daniels, Jenny Campbell, Jendayi Campbell, Charlise Footman) with ties to Newark and Essex County on their journies in life and self-love.
